Who We Are |
Steering CommitteeThe Steering Committee advises the faith leaders, identifying and researching issues, gathering resources, and drafting statements for review and approval. Voting membership is limited to representatives appointed by faith leaders, but meetings are open to any interested individual, organization, congregation or faith community. Steering Committee members work closely with state/local affiliates and resource groups. The AFC Work Groups are subcommittees comprised of steering committee members, affiliates, and resource persons from around the state.
The Steering Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the offices of Greater Birmingham Ministries. |
Faith Leaders CouncilThe Faith Leaders Council is composed of clergy representatives from faith communities around the state that support the purpose and principles of the AFC.

Local/State Affiliates and Resource GroupsAny local faith community, clergy group, social action committee, class, interfaith group, social service provider or advocacy agency can affiliate with the AFC to advise the Steering Committee on issues of concern, especially in their specific areas of focus and experience. |
